Hello,

I would like welcome you to the current season of piano lessons and explain what it takes to make piano education a success.

What it takes is more then 30 minute lessons. My students participate in a lot of activities: recitals, festivals, state theory tests, competitions and state ensemble. To make all this happen requires my participation and membership in professional music organizations. I belong to the National Music Teacher Association, Texas Music Teacher Association, Frisco Music Teacher Association and Steinway Educator Partnership. All of these, besides paying my yearly dues, require a lot of volunteer work. I attend meetings, organize and participate in festivals, hold one of the office positions in the Frisco Music association (This year I am Vise president of the Music Teacher Association and a member of the board meetings). I have been a delegate representing FMTA to the Texas State Convention, which required from me be there for 3 days and attend a lot of meetings and educational programs and master classes in order to be informed of latest news and technology in music education .

What it also takes is the right space and tools. My studio is equipped with the latest technology: two computers with music software, which make lessons more interesting and help study theory, ear training and develop rhythm. This is especially good for siblings, which make up more then half of my students. One student will be working with me on the piano while another will work independently on the computer without additional charge, although all other studio teachers charge for this same service. I provide a nice music room with two pianos, one grand piano Kawai on which student have lessons, and an upright piano, metronome, stereo CD and DVD players. My studio also has a youtube channel and web site on which not only parents but their family and friends who live in different towns and countries can see pictures and video of recitals and performances.

All of this is very costly and probably I would not be able to provide this for my students were it not for the help of my family. Thanks to my son who runs my web site, youtube channel, and computers for free, and my husband, who runs my book-keeping and paperwork. I do not have overhead like other big studio, enrollment fees, and recital fees. I reserve a Hall for recitals for free, even if it takes a lot of additional time for me to stand in line for 4 ours in order to reserve the space. This is why my prices are very reasonable for the services I provide.

Thank you for your business and I look forward to this new exiting and rewarding musical year.
